Researchers at the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom report that their findings discredit the conclusions of Charles Darwin in his 1872 book The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. Darwin maintained that there were six basic emotions expressed by the predecessors of man and reflected in corresponding facial expressions. These expressions were still universal in our species and were inherited from our ancestors. The research revealed that both facial expressions and their meanings varied from culture to culture. These six basic expressions, while recognizable to most descendents of Western culture, were interpreted quite differently by those of East Asian descent http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2012/04/unhappiness-is-in-the-eye-of-the.html?ref=hp.
This error is reminiscent of the criticisms made by Alfred Russell Wallace, who independently discovered the concept of evolution around the same time as Darwin. Wallace maintained that some of Darwin’s conclusions concerning man were fundamentally flawed because his more famous counterpart had not spent any time among primitive peoples to observe them closely as did Wallace. Wallace felt that, especially when it came to man’s intellect, this lack of human observations caused Darwin to make a number of faulty assumptions. Those who have read BTCV know my personal opinion on the subject: however impressive the theory of evolution is, scientists try to assume too much from it, and attempt to extend its concepts farther than the available evidence can justify. Aside from the problems in a number of its details, evolution falls short on two major issues. First, it does not have an expression for how life “evolved” from inanimate matter—any accurate model of a process must have as its beginning statement an accurate description of the initial state of that process. Second, it fails as a scientific theory because it does not make testable predictions. If it did, evolution would be able to predict how a given creature might look one million years from now, or be able to predict what a present day creature would look like from studying its million-year-old fossilized remains alone (no fair peaking at the finished creature of today!). Nor does it predict well into the past—how many times do we hear of a new fossil discovery where the experts exclaim “we never expected to see these features in this creature” or “we never expected to find such a creature in that location,” let alone “we never expected to find this creature at all?” I believe that when it comes to explaining the rise and progression of life, evolution is an incomplete picture. The fossil record does not reflect the cause, but only the effect of a much deeper process for which evolution has no expression. Something very fundamental is still lacking. That, to me, is the true missing link. I received a surprise call from Kevin Smith of the Kevin Smith Show to appear as his guest tomorrow night, April 26 at 10:00 PM Eastern. As you may know, the Kevin Smith Show is one of the foremost programs in alternative radio having a very large audience both here and abroad, and so it is quite an honor to be invited back. If you heard my first interview with him back on December 21, you’ll recall that Kevin actually turned off his customary second-hour call-in lines to allow me to continue to present my work uninterrupted! However, he assured me that the call-in hour will definitely be open, and so you are invited to join in and participate. Catch the live show at http://kevinsmithshow.com/.
Join me with host Leilani Schmidt on her Universal Spiritual Connections Radio Show on Tuesday, 4/24 at 9:00pm Eastern at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/usc-radio-productions-1.
My next interview installment with GeorgeAnn Hughes of The Byte Show will be posted sometime Friday evening, 4/27. Find it at my page on her site, http://www.thebyteshow.com/ThomasPFusco.html. I will be appearing Ghost Raps Radio Show with Big Ray and KB on Friday, 4/27 at 10:00pm Eastern. The show is broadcast live in the Richmond/Ashland, Virginia area on terrestrial radio stations 102.9 FM and 1430 AM, and is simulcast on the web at http://www.ghostraps.com/. I also wanted to apologize for two recently scheduled shows that turned our to be 'no-shows'. These were the the PIR Radio interview with Kurt Smith scheduled for 4/15, and Fired Up! Radio with Steven Raebel scheduled for 4/21. In both instances, the host never called, and the broadcast apparently never took place (with or without me). My subsequent emails to both shows have gone unanswered. Fortunately, these were only the third and fourth incidents like this out of over 100 scheduled interviews. I've had several other occurrences where the hosts contacted me in advance to cancel and reschedule. As for myself, I have only cancelled and re-scheduled one appearance, and that was due to my invitation to be on Coast to Coast AM (who wouldn't!). I have no control over these kinds of happenings, and canprovide no explanation as to why. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Finally, do you like the color scheme changes to my website? Please comment and let us know. I just posted a new article on the site that Biblical-minded folks should find interesting. Check out “The Science of Salvation and the Two-Gods Controversy” (in the article column on the right).
I want to thank everyone for their support and well wishes regarding my appearance on Coast to Coast AM this past Friday evening (or Saturday morning if you’re in Eastern or Central). Rob Simone was the guest host for the evening, and as you may know, he had interviewed me back in January for his London Edition show. So he was familiar with my work, and was able to help facilitate the conversation so that the key points of my theory were brought out within the allotted time slot. My heart-felt thanks goes out to Rob, George Noory and the entire C2C team. The archive of the show is now posted on the C2C site and on YouTube:

All content is still readable. This is apparently a scripting error originating from ther web server. Our web host is working on the problem. We have had so many wonderful comments and questions from my C2C appearance. Coupled with those from my past interviews, I now have quite a collection. Since this material is too voluminous to post on the blog or comment pages, I am going to post a new article entitled Questions and Answers where I will post the more intriguing ones, along with my responses. I will notify you on the blog each time I add a new entry to the article. Remember, you can reach me from the Contact Us link on the navigation bar. I do answer all my emails, but it may take several days, so please be patient. Now on to the interviews for this week. My interview with Gene Steinberg and Chris O’Brien of the ParaCast-The Gold Standard of Paranormal Radio is now posted. Grab it at http://www.theparacast.com/podcast/now-playing-april-15-2012-thomas-p-fusco/. I will be the guest of Filippo Voltaggio on his LifeChanges program on Monday, 4/16 at 10:00 PM Eastern. Listen live at http://web.me.com/forzafilippo/Life_Changes/Welcome_Page.html. BTCV enters the West Coast morning rush hour with Gary and Suzanne on the Mantz and Mitchell Show, Wednesday, 4/18 at 9:00 AM Eastern. This is broadcast over the terrestrial radio station KKNW 1150 AM in the Western Washington State area, or you can hear the live simulcast on the internet at http://1150kknw.com/listen. I will making a return appearance on Fired Up! Radio with host Steven Raebel on Saturday 4/21 at 8:00 PM Eastern. For the live broadcast or recorded podcast, go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/steven-raebel. Sunday, 4/22 from 9:00 PM-12:00 AM will find me with Mark Henry on his Edge of the Unknown show. The show is aired live on AM 1230 and FM 102.9 the Buffalo, NY area. For the live web simulcast or the recorded podcast, click on http://breezebuffalo.com/extras/podcasts. I really love these three-hour spots because it allows me to get into details on the really interesting topics. An article by a group of scientists published earlier this week in the International Journal of Aeronautic and Space Sciences maintains that life was indeed found on Mars by the USA’s Viking probes that landed on the Red Planet in 1976. The findings were derived from a re-analysis of the data collected from these probes over 30 years ago by applying techniques and information not available at the time. Some scientists, however, remain skeptical.. http://news.discovery.com/space/mars-life-viking-landers-discovery-120412.html.
As you may know, I am a firm believer that life exists elsewhere in the universe. My reasoning for this stems from an established scientific principle that has never been properly applied to living things. First, the nature and design of any system is defined and established by a given set of laws and principles. The universe is such a system, even though we don’t yet fully understand all those laws and principles. We do know, however, that the universe is not arbitrary in that it is put together only one way. Two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen combined in a molecule at STP (Standard Temperature and Pressure), and in the presence of a sufficient gravitational field to pool these molecules together, will produce a clear liquid we call water anywhere in the universe these conditions are met. Additionally, the reason we are able to tell many things about the velocity, mass, and even chemical composition of the most distant galaxies by the analysis of their light spectrum is that the same math that works here also works at the farthest reaches of the cosmos. The universe is put together in one way only. Second, no subset of that system can operate in a way that is contrary to or outside of the laws and principles that govern the greater system in which it is a component. No matter how complex subsets can be that emerge from the greater system, none will violate the laws and principles that dictate and govern that greater system. Of the incredible variety of card combinations and game rules (subsets) that can be derived from a single deck of cards, all will conform to the system established by the 52 cards, its 4 suits and 13 face values per suit. A fifth suit is not going to suddenly appear in dealt hands for no reason. Finally, life emerged on earth from inanimate matter or “the dust of the ground” as it were. Regardless of whether you believe in the spontaneous generation of life or direct Divine action, it’s clear that the bodies of living things are constructed from the same elements as inanimate matter. Life is a subset of the greater universal system. Since we know life definitely exists, and that it cannot exist in a way that’s contrary to or outside of the laws and principles that govern the greater system in which it is a subset, then we can only conclude that the universe is itself alive! This means that, just as in the case with water, anywhere in the universe that certain conditions are met, life will arise from inanimate matter. To me, this is ironclad and inescapable. There remains then only two fundamental questions that beg an answer. Are we mistaken when we view matter as inanimate, or is it really alive but has yet to take the form of a coherent organism that we recognize as life? And, from where did this “law and principle” of life originate—did the universe establish its own living nature, or did a already-living Creator endow the universe with its life? See my article on this website, The End of Materialism and a Return to God, Part 2, to find how this relates to intelligence and the human creative faculty. I received a last-minute invitation to appear on Coast to Coast AM this Friday evening, April 13 at 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM Pacific. For we East Coasters, that will be Saturday, April 14 at 1:00-3:00 AM Eastern. My host will be Rob Simone, who will be guest-hosting for George Noory. There was an apparent schedule change that afforded me this opportunity (George and his previously scheduled guests are still posted for that time slot on the C2C website).
Coast to Coast AM is the most popular late-night radio program in North America, and is a syndicated show broadcast on hundreds of terrestrial radio talk stations around the country. If you have a talk radio station in your area, chances are it carries Coast to Coast AM in the 10PM-2AM Pacific time slot. You can listen live over your local airwaves or through any of these stations’ web simulcast. To find a station in your area, go to http://www.coasttocoastam.com/stations and select your state on the map (of course, you can listen to any of these stations’ web simulcasts from anywhere in the world, so it doesn’t really matter what state you select). The show is also broadcast on Sirius XM satellite radio on its XM Talk 168 channel. If you can’t stay up that late, you’ll be able to catch the recorded archive on http://www.coasttocoastam.com/shows/last-30-days. Due to this rare opportunity, my previously scheduled interview Saturday night with Angel Espino on Jackal’s Head Radio will be rescheduled. On another schedule note, Crossroads Radio cancelled the interview for Wednesday evening, promising to re-schedule it at a future date. Some weeks are like this. I will be appearing on Parachallenged Radio with hosts Kathy and Brian on Tuesday, April 10 at 8-10 PM Eastern. Go to http://www.parachallengedradio.com/.
Wednesday, April 11 at 11 PM Eastern will find me at Crossroads Radio with Shawn Sellers. Listen in at http://www.shawnsellers.com/radio-show.php or at http://www.jackaloperadio.com/. My re-scheduled interview with Angel Espino on the Jackal’s Head Show will be on Friday, April 13 at 11 PM to 1 AM eastern. Find it at http://www.soupmedianetwork.com/psn-radio/. I have an interviews on Saturday, April 14 at 9-10 PM Eastern with Dr. John DeSalvo on his Mysterious Realms program. This should prove to be a fascinating show. Catch it at http://drjohnradio.com/. Finally, I’ll be the guest of Kurt Smith and Bill Horton on their Para Investigators Radio (PIR) show on Sunday, April 15 at 9 PM Eastern. Hear it at http://www.paranormalradioonline.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=65, or catch the podcast at http://www.pirradio.com/index.php?option=com_wrapper&view=wrapper&Itemid=57. I have a very light interview schedule this week (I actually need the break!). I will be appearing on Dr. Rita Louise’s Just Energy Show on Friday, April 6 at 3-4 PM Eastern. Grab it at http://www.justenergyradio.com/. If you’re working at the time, you can catch the archived show later at the same site.
